Pathways impact seen internationally on the BBC – Meet Billy Caldwell
Meet Billy Caldwell and his mom Charlotte in this 3-part BBC special. When Billy was diagnosed with a life-threatening form of epilepsy, his doctor in Northern Ireland gave him no referrals for specialized care and little hope for survival. Unsatisfied with these options, Charlotte moved Billy to Chicago for medical treatment at Children’s Memorial Hospital and physical therapy at Pathways Center. Billy meets with therapists at Pathways five days a week for occupational, physical and speech therapy and now, at age 3 ½, Billy's occurrence of seizures has been markedly reduced.
