Pathways Awareness - For Parents - Resources - Your State's Child Early Intervention Offices

Your State’s Child Early Intervention Offices

Did you know that your state offers Early Intervention services? Early intervention services for infants and toddlers with delays and difficulties (birth-age 3) have been a part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) since 1986. Concerned parents are encouraged to use this resource to connect with the early intervention services for infants and toddlers in their state.

Early Intervention services can be offered through a public or private organization and are provided in different settings, such as the child's home, a clinic, a neighborhood daycare center, a hospital, or the local health department.

Early intervention services can range from prescribing glasses for a two-year-old to developing a complete physical therapy program for an infant with cerebral palsy.
